No hot water, no Hydration?

Hey My loves!

Last week we had a serious heating/Hot water problem, so we had to boil the water just like you grandma' or Great Grandma' used to do.

You know that I use the Johnson's baby oil religiously right before stepping out of the shower? Right?
But as we couldn't take any shower I took less time to wash my face and my body and then had more time to hydrate my skin.
I then decided to open the Satsuma body butter, because I needed desperately a "summery" vibe.

And I noticed that I could easily use it during my bedtime routine as it take about 5 minutes to hydrate, and so since then I use it every night.

And it feels so good, no greasy residue, fresh sensation, summer in you head you're ready to have sweet dreams!

Somehow this heat/hot water problem showed me that sometimes it takes the tiniest amount of time to take care of yourself!

Any tip to share?

Friday I care #5: Hand cream

Hey Beauty and life lovers!

Today I'm gonna talk about my hands. I've got super dry hands and so I've got the tendency to chip my fingers to remove the dry patches.
Ewwww I know it's digesting, that's why I try to apply hand cream as much as possible.

I've got two types of hand cream:

First it is the one I can keep easily in my bag, and so I went for the Neutrogena Quick absorption.
The tube is in plastic and so no risk to have a perforation accident.
This cream is quite good, and really penetrates the skin easy, quickly without leaving an oily feelings on.

Neutrogena is well known for their hand cream, usually Norwegian formula, to induce in your mind the fact that you need this when the weather act like... you know what I mean ....
Well I love this one really much, it does the job.

The second one I keep on my night table is the Almond Hand cream from The Body Shop ( I promise , I'm not paid by TBS), this cream is thicker and penetrates less quickly, leaves a thin oily feelings, and has a "metallic"-Aluminium tube, which isn't really good when you have a huge bag, because the more it gets squeezed, the more you might get a hole in the packaging and then have hand cream all over your bag... based on a true story.
So I leave it on the night table and use it just before I turn the lights off.
I love it better than the Neutrogena, i've got the impression that it hydrates my hands why better.

Sales Haul: The Body Shop, Di and Planet Parfum

Hey Beauty and life lovers!

Here is the final Haul.
I must admit that this year, the period wasn't really fruitful, and the discounts were not that exceptional except this last week at The Body Shop.

SO let's Start with Planet Parfum ( If you're French it's a bit like Nocibé).
I wasn't really going in to buy anything else than the Clarifying lotion from Clinique, but just to have a look.
And I ended to buy Helena Rubinstein products. Only skin and lips care, but usually I can't afford HR skin care.

So The Collagenist Pore Genius was 10 percent off as was the Collagenist lip Zoom.
I paid the Clinique lotion full price.
I'm currently trying the HR products so I will probably tell you more about soon.
So yes 10 percent is just not enough, but I have a Businness card ( thanks my daily job) and so got 20 percent more.

So they better be efficient because I have high hopes for them and for my skin!
Let's go to Di and The Body Shop:

At The Body Shop they got the 70% off and then I got a 400ml of their Olive scrub ( which I really love) and the 200ml of their Olive Shower gel, each for 5,40 euros, plus a 5 euros discount as I have reach it on my fidelity card.

I went the Grocery store I decided I had to try the Covergirl range.... well the counter wasn't big but I went for a Natural quad ( I don't have the name ) and a oil control foundation which doesn't go out of the bottle because it is clearly really thick, and so I will have to find a solution.... OR maybe you have one for me...

So Now let's go to DI:

I needed a new eyeliner and so I went for the new Bourjois in a black color. I really like it so far and I think I'm gonna go buy the brown color.
I also bought a l'Oréal Glam Shine Chubby Stick (909- Mad for Pomegranate) and a L'Oréal Color riche (110).

So this is it for my Sales Haul.
Not much but I didn't really need all those so, let's say it is a good one !
I'll try to review each products and so the Monday Haul, Might be replaces for a while by a Monday review.

If you wanna see a specific review on a specific product, just leave a comment below .

See you on wednesday my loves!

Sunday Love #4: Body scrub and loofa combo

Hey Beauty and life lovers!

Here is time to spread the love and share what you deeply like! So this time I will stay in the shower time and after talking about the Johnson's Baby oil to hydrate, here is my favorite scrub and my way to use it.

In the picture you can see it is a The Body Shop scrub and this will always be the case because they're my favorite. Especially this olive and the mango ones.
I love the scent, the texture and the feeling it leaves on the skin.

I usually use it with a loofa to optimize the effects, but first I apply it with my hands on the upper body part to have the product evenly on the skin. Then I take the loofa and massage gently the skin.
I repeat the process for the lower part and for my back I use a brush ( witch isn't on the picture as I need to get a new one.)

Talking about the loofa, I often use as well those from The Body Shop, it seems that they last longer, but it's just a my impression. I cannot go to TBS without getting one.

And you? what's your pampering shower ritual?

Monday Haul : Damages Part 1

Hey Beauty and life lovers!

For this Monday haul I'll be showing you the part one of the sales damages
Once again I went to The Body Shop, cause I needed some products and right after I was magically stepping into the Drugstore next to it...

So Here are the "The Body Shop" spoil:

I guess you want to know the details...
So let's start with the "Satsuma Gel Shower 200ml" that you probably all know.

Ingredients:
Aqua (Water) (Solvent/Diluent), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (Surfactant), Glycerin (Humectant), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Surfactant), Cocamide DEA (Surfactant), Coco-Glucoside (Surfactant), PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil (Emulsifier), Benzyl Alcohol (Preservative), Parfum (Fragrance), Phenoxyethanol (Preservative), Glycine soja (Soybean Oil) (Emollient/Skin Conditioner), Citrus nobilis (Mandarin Orange Oil) (Fragrance), Methylparaben (Preservative), PEG-55 Propylene Glycol Oleate (Surfactant), Propylene Glycol (Humectant), Benzophenone-4 (Sunscreen), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Hexyl Cinnamal (Fragrance Ingredient), Disodium EDTA (Chelating Agent), Citral (Fragrance Ingredient), Butylparaben (Preservative), Ethylparaben (Preservative), Isobutylparaben (Preservative), Propylparaben (Preservative), Citrus reticulata (Fragrance Ingredient), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Citrus dulcis (Orange Oil) (Fragrance/Essential Oil), Sodium Dehydroacetate (Preservative), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Geraniol (Fragrance Ingredient), CI 15510 (Colour), CI 15985 (Colour).

I really love this scent, it brings up the good mood. The sunny state of mind. Yes I know, we're still in the middle of the winter but well, I need sun, I need to think about the holidays.
I simply need it, don't judge, to kill me ...
It was on sale for 30%, not much but I couldn't resist.

Let's follow with the Camomile  Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

What they claim it does:

This cleanser is an indulgent make-up remover for the whole face. It gently and efficiently melts away make-up and impurities, leaving skin feeling clean, refreshed and pampered
  • Gently melts away make-up
  • Leaves skin feeling clean and petal-soft
  • Removes all types of make-up
  • Suitable for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers
How to use:

Apply to dry face and massage into skin. Rinse off with warm water or remove with a wet muslin cloth for a more thorough cleanse.

I usually remove my make up with a cleansing oil, but when you go on week end, it's is not very practical to take with as it often leaks.
So I decided to give it a go and this will be part of a specific review soon.

Then I saw the Facial Buffer:

What they claim it does:

Used with facial wash, this gentle exfoliating sponge will leave skin soft and smooth.
  • Helps facial wash lather
  • Stimulates skin microcirculation
  • Ideal for dry skin that needs regular exfoliation
How to use:
Use every morning or evening with a facial wash or cleanser to thoroughly cleanse the skin. For extra exfoliation, use with a facial polisher suitable for your skin type.
I didn't use it yet, but it was so tempting ... and I thought it would be nice to use with my Clinic Cleanser.

This will close this first part. Next week the drugstore haul.
Stay tuned because I might have bought things I couldn't imagine :)
See you on Wednesday my loves!
